I’ve compiled a list of my top 10 tools to help you become more efficient in your PR and marketing in 2023. From project management software to content planning calendars, these tools have been carefully curated by me using them firsthand and those my guests have recommended. 

Whether you’re just starting or have years of experience, these ten tools are must-haves for 2023.

  1. Content analysis tools that allow you to understand better how your content is performing 

BuzzSumo is an easy way to monitor your content performance, discover which topics and influencers have the most impact and keep an eye on your competitors. It has loads of advanced features if you go with the paid option, such as tracking customers, influencer alerts and content performance insights. But even the free version is a great way to get started. One of its remarkable features is the ability to group content by type or topic; this is especially helpful in figuring out what kind of content should be promoted or created next.

  1. Email marketing software for newsletters and automated campaigns

Mailchimp gets a bit of flack and has many more competitors now. Still, there have been considerable improvements to both the user experience and the segmentation options, especially in the paid options. So I stuck with it; it still delivers and works with every CRM or Marketing Automation platform I use.

  1. Analytics software to help track campaigns and measure success

My guests and I believe the best analytics software to track campaigns and measure success is Google Analytics. Google Analytics provides:

  • An intuitive user interface.
  • Real-time reporting.
  • Robust tracking features that allow you to monitor the performance of your campaigns.
  • You can use it to track website traffic, analyse user behaviour, measure conversions, and more. 
  • You can also set up goals and track specific user actions, such as page visits or downloads, to further understand how your campaigns perform.
  1. Influencer marketing software to help maximise reach

Influencer marketing platforms like Klear and Upfluence can help you reach critical influencers and leverage their platforms to increase your reach. With these tools, you can easily find the right influencers, build relationships with them, and track the performance of your campaigns. This is a great way to ensure you’re optimising your influencer efforts to get maximum value out of your campaigns.

  1. Social media scheduling tools to help manage platforms and content

The best social media scheduling tools for 2023 include Hootsuite, Buffer, and Sprout Social. These platforms allow you to easily manage your social media accounts, schedule content, and monitor engagement. Hootsuite has a simple user interface that makes it easy to stay on top of your funds. Buffer enables you to plan out your content ahead of time to ensure your posts are consistent.

Later is also proving popular with lots of smaller businesses and solopreneurs. Additionally, Hootsuite integrates with other tools like Salesforce and Zendesk, making it an ideal choice for companies with multiple departments or teams.

  1. Content creation tools to help create custom content. 

Content creation tools like Canva, Adobe Spark, and Visme are great options for creating custom graphics, presentations, and other visuals. Canva and Adobe Spark are perfect for creating content easily and quickly without requiring design skills. Visme is an excellent choice for users who want more advanced features like animation and interactivity.

Canva is a powerful, user-friendly design tool that makes it easy to create stunning visuals for any project. It has a library of customizable templates and millions of photos, illustrations, and icons that you can use to design content quickly and easily. It’s a must for me, and it’s so easy to share designs and make all formats, even videos and presentations, look slick with a few clicks of a button.

  1. Video Creation Software to Create Great Videos and Graphics. 

If you are looking for the best video creation software, Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro X are two of the top contenders. Both offer powerful video editing capabilities and a wide range of features to help you create great visuals. Adobe Premiere Pro is best for professional editors and provides a wide range of tools and effects to help you create high-quality videos.

However, if you’re looking for quick and dirty videos, you can do this on iMovie if you’re on a Mac or Wave. Video if you’re on a PC.

  1. Stakeholder management software

Tractivity is an example of a stakeholder management software that helps you organise, manage and track critical stakeholders. It’s an all-in-one platform that allows you to plan, manage, and monitor your stakeholder relationships easily. With Tractivity, you can quickly identify key stakeholders, store important documents and communications, assign tasks, and measure progress and impact. It helps streamline the tracking and managing of your stakeholder relationships and ensures that your stakeholders are engaged, informed, and informed about the progress of your campaigns.

  1. Communication and collaboration systems to keep teams in sync

Stakeholder management software like Wrike, ProjectManager, and Asana are some of the best tools to use in 2023. These tools help you manage and track communications with stakeholders, assign tasks, track progress and milestones, and store important documents. Wrike is great for teams with multiple stakeholders, as it provides you with advanced analytics and reporting capabilities. Trello is also an excellent choice for smaller teams that need to manage projects efficiently.

  1. Repurposing your content for multiple platforms 

Repurposing content is a great way to extend the life of your content and reach new audiences. Tools like CoSchedule, Repurpose.io, and Captivate can help you repurpose your content for different platforms and formats. 

CoSchedule is best for content marketers, allowing you to create an editorial calendar and automate social media posts. Repurpose.io helps you quickly syndicate content across a variety of platforms, while Captivate enables you to repurpose audio into text and vice versa.

However, AI technology can help you quickly transcribe your content to increase the efficiency of your repurposing efforts. For example, using long-form content like video or audio files and using otter.ai for turning video or audio into text initially before using the above tools for social content. Something like Hyperwrite.ai can also help turn long-form text into shorter snippets and schedule yourself through one of the social media scheduling platforms. 

If I had to pick just one of these? Well, if you only do anything in 2023, you need a repurposing tool in your life, as this will save you so much time, money and effort.
